Cavs next move?
Look, this may be considered a crazy pipe dream, but what about this trade I created at ESPN's (absolutely kick ass) trade machine. I know; why would New Jersey want Larry Hughes over Vinsanity? Well, he's better than nothing. If Vinsan opts out after this season, the Nets are left with nothing, and the market won't really be offering up the kind of guys they could use right now. Unless they trade J-Kidd and go after Chauncey Billlups. But they get Hughes, who is no slouch, and someone who actually fits their system. He frees up Richard Jefferson to take more of an offensive role, while being the defensive presence Vince isn't. The big bonus is that they get to unload deadbeat Jason Collins, for bona fide boards hound Drew Gooden, at barely a raise in salary. Meanwhile the Cavs get Vince, maybe it works and is magic. More than likely it tanks, and Vince opts out to go to Charlotte or Orlando. Either way, the Cavs are either a contender, or a front runner to get Chauncey Billups in the offseason, a move that would make them instant favorites in the east. Unless ofcourse the Bulls get KG...
