Larry Nance

Big man was a Cleveland legend. Before we traded Kevin Johnson for him, he was also one of the primogenitors of the nasty dunk. Believe me when I say this man never "faked the funk." This was true old school get-down nastiness. He actually won the first Dunk Contest at All Star weekend.

I know nothing of Austin Carr's game, or World B. Free's. But I am proud to have Price, Daugherty, and Nance as the NBA players I grew up with. Daugherty was the big fundamental before Duncan could dunk.

Unfortunately, I also remember Danny Ferry as a Cavs player, which takes some of the shine off of things.
